SafetyAlerts to Acquire SafetyAgent

PROVIDENCE, RI. and CENTREVILLE, VA. (SafetyAlerts) - Worldwide Alerts Inc., (?WAI?) and SafetyAgent.com, LLC today announced the companies have signed a definitive agreement under which WAI will merge the SafetyAgent business, a privately held internet distributor of consumer product recall information to their members, into the existing SafetyAlerts.com operations. WAI is the owner and operator of SafetyAlerts.



Craig Thompson, President of SafetyAgent stated, ?We wanted our members to benefit from the very best service available for all types of consumer product recall information. We felt that the strength of SafetyAlerts? current operations and its vision for the future clearly made it the best choice for our members?.



SafetyAlerts currently provides immediate direct notification to hundreds of thousands of registered consumers in 14 countries. In addition to the notification service, SafetyAlerts is currently providing recall information to more than 300,000 unique website visitors, and receives 8-10 million hits per month from over 8000 links on other websites.



William Knegendorf, President of WAI announced, ?We are working with technology industry leaders to soon expand the SafetyAlerts internet notification system to handle 20 million concurrent users. Soon after, we will begin offering our services by telephone. WAI believes that a more informed consumer is a safer consumer?.
