Hy-Vee Grocery Store in Minnesota Recalls Lunch Meat and Cheese

Rochester, MN (SafetyAlerts) - The Hy-Vee grocery store, located at 37th Street Northwest, today announced the recall of all products sold at the stores lunchmeat and cheese island because these products may be contaminated with Listeria.

According to Scott Thompson, Store Director, inspectors from the USDA had found traces of the bacteria on certain window units and gratings used on the lunchmeat and cheese island. 

Specific products that may be contaminated have not yet been identified and customers are urged to return any product that they have purchased at the island. "We want people who have any of the product to return it for a full refund," Thompson said, "Our goal is to ensure their safety and relieve any fears."

Only those items sold at the lunchmeat and cheese island are affected by this recall, no other products are involved.
