La Tapatia Tortilleria Has Recalled "Teleras"

Fresno, CA (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration said that La Tapatia is recalling 18oz. 6 count packages of Teleras because they contain undeclared eggs. People who have allergies or severe sensitivities to eggs run the risk of serious or life threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products.

The Teleras were distributed to Bridge Store in Madera, CA, R&N Market in Hanford, CA, and to local restaurants and delis.

The product comes in a clear plastic package with UPC code 43209-50865, with the following expiration code dates:

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered the label on the Teleras package did not list eggs.

Consumers are urged to return any product with the above code dates to place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with any questions may contact La Tapatia Tortilleria, Inc. at 1-800-219-7302, ask for John Hansen or Jose Angulo.
