Recall Update: Lion Pavilion Vegetables with Hot Oil Recall is Complete

(SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released the following information.

PRODUCT
Product is not labeled in English and was identified as "Vegetables with Hot Oil", packed in 280-gram glass jars. Jars were labeled in Chinese with the Nutrition Facts Panel labeled in English. Recall # F-436-3.

CODE
Codes 2002-07-31 and 2002-11-15.

RECALLING FIRM/MANUFACTURER
Lion Pavilion Ltd., Brooklyn, NY, by press release and letters on March 10, 2003. New York State initiated recall is complete.

REASON
Product did not bear an ingredient statement in English and contained peanuts based on NYSDAM analysis. Peanuts were visible in the sauce.

VOLUME OF PRODUCT IN COMMERCE
300 cartons (12-280 gram jars per carton).
