Recall Update: Swatt's Salt Rising Bread Recall is Complete

(SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released the following information.

PRODUCT
Swatt's Salt Rising Bread, 16 oz. loaves for retail sale, and 22 oz. loaves for restaurant use. Recall # F-392-3.

CODE
All uncoded product purchased prior to 4/10/03 and all coded product with a "sell by" date of "04-16" or earlier is affected.

RECALLING FIRM/MANUFACTURER
Swatt Baking Company, Olean, NY, by on site visit beginning April 10, 2003. New York State initiated recall is complete.

REASON
Product contained undeclared milk protein.

VOLUME OF PRODUCT IN COMMERCE
250/22 oz. & 200/16 oz. loaves per week.
