Recall Update: Vogels International Recall Complete

(SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has released the following information.

PRODUCT
The following products sold under the "Vogels Bakery" label:
a) Cheese Babka, 16 oz. Recall # F-775-2;
b) Crumb Topping Babka, 16 oz. Recall # F-776-2;
c) Heavy Italian Bread, 24 oz. Recall # F-777-2;
d) Hard Rolls, 8 oz. Recall # F-778-2;
e) Rye Bread, 16 oz. and Rye Bread, 24 oz. Recall # F-779-2.

CODE
All products on the market at the time the recall was initiated.

RECALLING FIRM/MANUFACTURER
Vogels International Bakery, Utica, NY, by visits on August 13, 2002.
FDA initiated recall is complete.

REASON
The babkas, rolls, and rye bread contained undeclared egg ingredients.
The Heavy Italian Bread contained undeclared soybean flour.

VOLUME OF PRODUCT IN COMMERCE
a) and b) Babkas-48 loaves;
c) Heavy Italian Bread-45 loaves;
d) hard rolls-360 ea.;
e) Rye bread-135 loaves.
