Golden Tiger Has Recalled frozen beef products

The Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) said that Golden
Tiger has recalled an undetermined amount of frozen beef products for
undeclared ingredients (sodium metabisulfite).
The products being recalled are:
8-oz. packages of "SAFEWAY SELECT FIRECRACKERS Beef, Cheese & Jalapeño
APPETIZERS" bearing an embossed use-by date of "AUG 28 03" or before. This
product was distributed to retail stores nationwide.

bearing an embossed use-by date of "AUG 28 03" or before. One side of the
package bears the French translation "PÉTARDS Beouf, fromage et jalapeño."
This product was distributed to retail stores in Canada.
Approximately 6-lb. packages of "Golden Tiger BEEF & CHEESE FIRECRACKERS"
bearing a date code of less than "02010." This product was distributed to
hotels, restaurants and institutions nationwide.
Each of the products bears an establishment code "EST. 9281" inside the USDA
seal of inspection.
"We urge consumers to check their freezers," said Dr. Garry L. McKee, FSIS
administrator. "If they find any of the products listed above then consumers
should not eat them but return them to the point of purchase. Diners may
wish to ask if their meals contain the recalled products."
The problem was discovered by Golden Tiger and reported to FSIS.
