Felpausch Recalls Chunk Light Tuna

Hastings, MI (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said that Felpausch Food Centers has recalled Felpausch brand Chunk Light Tuna in water, 6 oz cans.

This is the first public notice of this Class llI recall issued by the FDA.

RECALLING FIRM/ MANUFACTURER
Felpausch Food Centers, Hastings, MI, by telephone on 6/25/01 and by press release on 6/26/01. The firm initiated recall is complete.

REASON
Some cans are flippers and may be overfilled. Can-seam integrity may be compromised.

PRODUCT
90,000 cans were distributed. 64,560 cans were returned from the stores.
