- The U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic
Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced.

Component: AIR BAGS:FRONTAL
Potential Number Of Units Affected : 6028
ON CERTAIN PASSENGER CARS, THE DUAL STAGE DRIVERS AIR BAG DEPLOYS IN AN
IF THE DRIVER'S AIR BAG DEPLOYS IN AN IMPROPER SEQUENCE DURING A FRONTAL
VEHICLE CRASH, THE DRIVER COULD BE SEVERELY INJURED OR KILLED.
DEALERS WILL INSTALL AN ADAPTING WIRING HARNESS. OWNER NOTIFICATION IS
EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING NOVEMBER 2003. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT SUZUKI AT
