Suzuki Has Recalled the 2004 Verona

(SafetyAlerts) - The U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced.

Make : SUZUKI Model : VERONA Year : 2004

NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID Number : 03V426000

Component: AIR BAGS:FRONTAL

Potential Number Of Units Affected : 6028

Summary:
ON CERTAIN PASSENGER CARS, THE DUAL STAGE DRIVERS AIR BAG DEPLOYS IN AN IMPROPER SEQUENCE.

Consequence:
IF THE DRIVER'S AIR BAG DEPLOYS IN AN IMPROPER SEQUENCE DURING A FRONTAL VEHICLE CRASH, THE DRIVER COULD BE SEVERELY INJURED OR KILLED.

Remedy:
DEALERS WILL INSTALL AN ADAPTING WIRING HARNESS. OWNER NOTIFICATION IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING NOVEMBER 2003. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT SUZUKI AT 1-800-934-0934.
