(SafetyAlerts) - The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has released the following information.

NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID Number : 03V356000

Component: AIR BAGS

Potential Number Of Units Affected : 38

Summary:
ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, THE PASSENGER DETECTION FUNCTION OF THE PASSIVE OCCUPANT DETECTION SYSTEM (PODS) MAY BECOME DISABLED.
Consequence:

Remedy:
DEALERS WILL REPROGRAM THE PODS. OWNER NOTIFICATION IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING OCTOBER 2003. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT VWOA AT 1-800-822-8987.

Important Note Regarding Auto Recalls
