Nissan Has Recalled the 2002 Xterra and Altima

(SafetyAlerts) - The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has released the following information.

Models: Nissan Xterra Year: 2002

Nissan Altima Year: 2002

Number Potentially Involved: 64,562

Defect: On certain passenger and sport utility vehicles, the clock spring electrical connector may not be fully secured to the driver air bag module squib pin connector. If the connector comes loose, the driver air bag will not deploy in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Important Note Regarding Auto Recalls
Frequently SafetyAlerts will list auto recalls before
your dealer will know about them. If you have a vehicle
affected by one of these posted recalls be sure and
write down the NHTSA
If your dealer doesn't know about the recall when you
check, ask them how they are notified of recalls and
when the next update is due.
