Recall Date : FEB 04, 2003
Component: SEATS:FRONT ASSEMBLY:RECLINER
Potential Number Of Units Affected : 1066000
ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, SEAT BACK RECLINER BOLT BREAKAGE CAN OCCUR
RESULTING IN THE SEAT BACK
IF THE SEAT BACK UNEXPECTEDLY RECLINES WHILE THE CAR IS BEING DRIVEN, IT
COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF VEHICLE
CONTROL, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE RECLINER BOLTS. DAIMLERCHRYSLER HAS NOT YET
PROVIDED AN OWNER NOTIFICATION
SCHEDULE FOR THIS CAMPAIGN. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED
DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON
SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME

CAMPAIGN ID Number.
If your dealer doesn't know about the recall when you
check, ask them how they are notified of recalls and
when the next update is due.
