Volkswagen Has Recalled the 2003 Audi A6
Recalled the 2003 Audi A6 because of a potential air bag problem.
Number of Units Affected:
Manufactured: 08/2002 - 08/2002
ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE IGNITER FOR THE
DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG MAY NOT HAVE BEEN PROPERLY ASSEMBLED.
AN IMPROPERLY POSITIONED IGNITER WILL NOT ACTIVATE THE AIR BAG IN THE EVENT
OF A CRASH.
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE AIR BAGS. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN SEPTEMBER 26,
2002. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT AUDI AT 1-800-458-2834.
