Daimler Chrysler Recalls Certain Mini-Vans
Detroit, MI (SafetyAlerts) - The National Highway
Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has published a recall affecting
2002 CHRYSLER TRUCK: TOWN AND COUNTRY , VOYAGER , CARAVAN, GRAND CARAVAN manufactured between
07/2001 - 09/2001 .
Number Involved: 24,000
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: CERTAIN MINI VANS EQUIPPED WITH P215/65 R16 TIRES FAIL
TO COMPLY WITH REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS NO. 120, "TIRE SELECTION AND RIMS FOR
MOTOR VEHICLES OTHER THAN PASSENGER CARS." THE INFORMATION SUPPLIED ON SOME
MINI VANS OMITTED THE "16" FROM THE TIRE SIZE DESIGNATION.
