Commissioner Rudgers Announces Consumer Advisory

 (SafetyAlerts) - State Agriculture Commissioner Nathan L. Rudgers today warned egg-allergic consumers to avoid eating OHYES Brand Choco Softcake Korean Cookies due to undeclared eggs in the product.

The product was sold in 10.86 ounce cardboard packages with a code of 200204.20. This product was distributed by Hansung Sikpoom Co., 1826 Sydan St., Ridgewood, NY 11385.

Routine sampling by food safety inspectors for the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets at a grocery store in Queens, New York revealed the product contained high levels of egg which were not declared on the label.

Consumption of this product by consumers with egg allergies can cause severe, life-threatening reactions.

This product should be returned to the retailer where purchased.
