Problem/Reason for Recall: Salmonella contamination
How/When Discovered: Hold-and-test procedure followed positive test results from 8/7/98 & 9/15/98 production. Recall initiated on 9/28/98. Two additional samples tested positive for Salmonella on 10/6/98 prompting expansion of recall to all products from 3 production lines.
