Production Dates/Identifying Codes: Produced October 29, 30, 31, November 2, 1998; ground beef patties with sell-by dates of 11/06 to 11/10; other fresh ground beef products with sell-by dates of 11/07 to 11/11
Problem/Reason for Recall: Possible contamination with E. coli O157:H7
How/When Discovered: Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services regularly tests ground beef at retail stores. Product sampled by Florida at a retail store in Orlando was found positive for E. coli O157:H7.

Distribution: Product was distributed to Albertson’s, Wal-Mart Super Centers, and Winn-Dixie stores in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Some "Colorado Gold" product was shipped to Jacksonville Naval Station.
