Mislabeling Prompts Tyson Foods to Recall Some Ready To Cook Chicken

GADSDEN, AL (SafetyAlerts) - Tyson Foods is recalling 17,280 pounds of their "Ready To Cook Ice Glazed Frying Chicken Half Breast with Ribs in 48-lb. boxes with 8 six-pound bags each because of labeling deviations.  The recalled chicken product is over-marinated and contains extra chicken broth.

Although no health hazard exists from this error, Tyson has elected to recall the product.

Sold only to retail stores in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Puerto Rico, the product may be identified by the Box Codes: 1288GAD0720, -21, -22, -23; or 1328GAD0708, -09 and the Bag codes: 12882 P-6666 or 13281-6666
