Purdy Coarse Ground Beef for Restaurants Recalled

SHERBURNE, NY (SafetyAlerts) - Purdy & Sons is recalling 220 pounds of Purdy coarse ground beef for restaurants because the product may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7.

The recalled beef, with the production date of June 30, 1998, was distributed only to restaurants in New York and is not identifiable to consumers.  Company sales representatives are contacting the affected restaurants directly.
