Bronx, NY (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) today reported that La Preferida, Inc. is recalling Matouk's Hot
Chow, in 9 ounce and 13.4 ounce jars, because the product contains undeclared FD&C
Yellow No. 5.

La Preferida, Inc., Bronx, New York, by letter dated November 4, 1998. Completed field
correction (relabeling) resulted from sample analysis and follow-up by the New York State
Department of Agriculture and Markets.
