Periyar Banana Chips Recalled

Jersey City, NJ (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today reported that Parel Overseas is recalling Bee's Queen brand Periyar Banana Chips, net weight 200 grams, because the product contains undeclared FD&C Yellow No. 5.

RECALLED BY
Parel Overseas, Jersey City, New Jersey, by telephone on January 28, 1999. Completed recall resulted from sample analysis and follow-up by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets.

QUANTITY
Approximately 40 cases were distributed.
