Brooklyn, NY (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) today reported that Tai Wing Hong Importer Inc. is recalling Bee's
Queen brand Pure Chinese Honey, packed in 10 ounce glass jars, because the product,
falsely labeled as "Pure Honey", is adulterated as it was found to contain
sugars of cane or corn origin.
Shanghai Native Produce I/E Corporation, Shanghai, China.
Tai Wing Hong Importer, Inc., Brooklyn, New York, by letter on October 30, 1998. Completed
recall resulted from sample analysis and follow-up by the New York State Department of
Agriculture and Markets.
450 cartons (48 jars per carton) were imported; firm estimates none remains on the market.
