Bon Secour Brand Stuffed Jalapeno Peppers Recalled

Coden, AL (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today reported that Johnson Sea Products, Inc. is recalling Bon Secour brand Stuffed Jalapeno Peppers, packed 3 pounds per box and 6 boxes per cardboard carton, because the product's label did not declare the ingredients whole eggs.   However, a second egg ingredient yolk was listed on the label.

Recall #F-368-9.

CODE
All codes on the market which do not list whole eggs as an ingredient.

Johnson Sea Products, Inc., Coden, Alabama.

RECALLED BY
Manufacturer, by telephone March 25, 1999, followed by letter on April 1, 1999. Firm-initiated field correction (labeling) ongoing.

DISTRIBUTION
Alabama.

QUANTITY
39 cases were distributed; firm estimated that very little product remained on market at time of recall initiation.
