Blue Marlin Loins Recalled for Scombroid Poisoning

Racine, WI (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today reported that Houmann's Fish and Seafood is recalling Blue Marlin Loins because the product contained high levels of histamine and was associated with scombroid poisoning.

According to FDA, approximately 160 pounds were distributed in Wisconsin and can be identified by Houmann's Fish and Seafood Lot #83992.

This Class II recall was initiated by Houmann's by telephone.  This is the first public notice issued by the FDA.  The FDA considers this recall to be complete.
