Dioscorea Opposita Thunb Recalled

Brooklyn, NY (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today reported that KSH (Kwok Shing) Trading Company, Inc. is recalling Dioscorea Opposita Thunb, (Rhizome of Common Yam), because the product contains undeclared sulfites.

RECALLED BY
KSH (Kwok Shing) Trading Company, Inc., Brooklyn, New York, by telephone on August 27, 1998. Completed field correction (relabeling) resulted from sample analysis and follow-up by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets.

New York, Florida, California.

QUANTITY
186 cartons (56 boxes per case) were distributed.
