Stewart's brand Extract Flavorings Recalled
Middle Point, OH (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) today reported that Stewart's House of Spice is recalling Stewart's
brand Extract Flavorings, because the products contains undeclared colors.
Stewart's brand Extract - Flavorings, in 2 ounce and
32 ounce bottles:
a) Stewart's Banana Extract - Flavoring: FD&C Yellow No. 5.
b) Stewart's Orange Extract - FD&C Yellow No. 6.
c) Stewart's Pure Peppermint Extract - FD&C Yellow No. 5.
Not coded. All product distributed prior to 5/19/99.
Stewart's House of Spice, Middle Point, Ohio.
Manufacturer, by visit beginning May 20, 1999, and by letter mailed beginning May
28, 1999. Ongoing field correction (relabeling) resulted from an inspection conducted by
the Ohio Department of Agriculture.
Ohio and Indiana.
Approximately 96 2-ounce bottles and 12 32-ounce bottles were distributed.
