ALERGY ALERT - EGG ROLL LABELING

Fil-Am Specialty Foods, Los Angeles-based firm, recalled two flavors of A I Tropical-brand Philippine-style egg rolls Tuesday because the wrappers do not list eggs as an ingredient.

People with allergies to eggs run the risk of serious or life-threatening reactions if they would eat them, and should return them to the place of purchase for a refund.

The egg rolls are sold in 24-ounce bags bearing the production code 0009228-0002089 and labeled as distributed by Phil. Foodtrade Corp. and Foodasia International. They come in the flavors vegetable lumpia (plain) and lumpia vegetable with shrimp.
