Manufacturer, by letters dated January 12, 1998, and February 15, 1998. Firm-initiated recall ongoing.

DISTRIBUTION
Nationwide.

QUANTITY
58 16-ounce containers and 168 28-ounce containers
were distributed; firm estimated that 20 16-ounce
and 25 28-ounce containers remained on market at
time of recall initiation.

REASON
Short weight fill (lot 7607 only) and unapproved
drug claims. (Note: Both lots bore unapproved
drug claims, labeling issued for correction,
product itself not recalled (lot 7606)).
