Royal Baltic Ltd. Recalls 6 Different Smoked Fish Products

Brooklyn, NY (SafetyAlerts) - Royal Baltic Ltd. is today recalling 6 different versions of smoked fish that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The recalled smoked fish products are:

Assorted Plate 16 ounce packages of Siomga (salmon), Captain (sea bass) and Trout bearing the lot number of 411.

Smoked salmon 3 ounce and 8 ounce packages bearing the lot number of 911 and lot 1611.

Turbot 8 ounce packages bearing the lot number of 1811.

Captain 8 ounce packages bearing the lot number of 710.

Royal trout 8 ounce packages bearing the lot number of 1111.

Lake trout 8 ounce packages bearing the lot number of 226.

The recalled products were sold in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and California.

Listeria monocytogenes, can cause serious and possibly fatal infections in children, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems

Consumers should return the products to the place of purchase for a refund, the FDA said. People with questions can contact Royal Baltic at 1-718-385-8300.
