Holdings Liquid Medical Oxygen Recalled
Bethpage, NY (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) today reported that Home Care Supply Holdings is recalling Liquid
Medical Oxygen USP, contained in cyrogenic units, used for respiratory therapy, because of
good manufacturing practice deviations including but not limited to failure to assay for
identity and strength.
This Class II recall was initiated by
the company, July 7, 1999, by letter. This is the first notice the FDA has issued to
the general public of the recall. The FDA considers this recall to be complete.
35 vessels were distributed in New
York and affects all lots transfilled between 1/11/99 and 4/19/99 and lot #05119961
transfilled on 5/11-12/99. The firm estimated that none remained in commerce.
