Marian's Classic Clam Chowder Recalled for Undeclared Soy

Tacoma, WA (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today reported that Marian's Kitchen is recalling Marian's Classic Clam Chowder, in 12 ounce and 28 ounce containers, because the product contained undeclared textured soy protein.

This Class II recall was initiated by the company, by visit beginning November 18, 1999.  This is the first notice the FDA has issued to the general public of the recall.  The FDA considers this recall complete.

Approximately Approximately 58 containers were distributed in Washington state.  The recalled clam chowder can be identified by the date code of NOV22.
