BCN Trading Inc. Assorted Cookies - Candied Fruits and Vegetables - Recalled

Brooklyn, NY (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today reported that BCN Trading Inc is recalling certain Assorted Cookies (actually a tray of candied fruits and vegetables) because the product contained undeclared sulfites.

This Class I recall was initiated by the company February 10, 1999 by letter.  This is the first notice the FDA has issued to the general public of the recall.  This recall is considered complete by the FDA.

An undetermined amount of the recalled product was distributed in  New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Florida, Maryland, Georgia, District of Columbia.  The recalled trays, manufactured by Ever Billion Enterprise Ltd., of Hong Kong, China, do not bear any codes that can be used by consumers to identify the product.
