Western Family Quality Candies Chocolate Covered Raisins Recalled

Salt Lake City, UT (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today reported that Associated Food Stores is recalling certain Chocolate Covered Raisins, labeled in part Western Family Quality Candies, because the product contains undeclared chocolate covered peanuts.

This Class I recall was initiated by the company June 15, 1999 by fax.  This is the first notice the FDA has issued to the general public of the recall.  This recall is considered complete by the FDA.

Over 116 cases were distributed in   Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington state and   Wyoming.  Each case holds seventeen 7 ounce clear plastic packages which bear the code of 17 59 59016.
