Chester Labs, Inc. Recalls BeFresh and MediFresh Liquid Mouth Wash for Possible Contamination

Cincinnati, OH (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today reported that Chester Labs, Inc. is recalling certain bottles of BeFresh and MediFresh Liquid Mouth Wash because the product is contaminated with Enterobacter gergoviae.

This ongoing  Class II recall was initiated by the company October 19, 1999 by telephone and by letter on October 26, 1999.  This is the first notice the FDA has issued to the general public of the recall.

Over 26,640 bottles were distributed in Florida, New York, Tennessee, Ohio, Illinois and Texas.

The recalled mouth wash is   alcohol free and packed in 4 fluid ounce plastic bottles and can be identified by the Lot #08309-B.
