Hunt's Ketchup Recalled for Possible Contamination

Perrysburg, OH (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today reported that ConAgra Grocery Products Cannery is recalling certain squeeze bottles of Hunt's Ketchup because the product is contaminated with Lactobacillus fermentum and Lactobacillus cellobiosus.

This ongoing  Class III recall was initiated by the company on June 11, 1999 by telephone.  This is the first notice the FDA has issued to the general public of the recall.

Over 294,400 cases of , 24 ounce, 32 ounce and 50 ounce squeeze bottles were distributed Nationwide and internationally.

This recall affects those Hunt's Ketchup Squeeze Bottles with the following codes and dates:
