Sulfite-allergic consumers warning about "dried fruit" products

(SafetyAlerts) - New York State Agriculture Commissioner Nathan L. Rudgers today warned sulfite-allergic consumers and asthmatics to avoid consuming "dried fruit" due to the presence of undeclared sulfites in the product.

The "dried fruit" product was sold by Fu Zhou International Trading Corp., 135-37 40th Road, Flushing, New York 11354.

The "dried fruit" product is packaged in a half-pound, white and green plastic bag with code 20001127. The UPC code is 6 917957 511869. All other labeling is in Chinese. It was sold in the Flushing, Queens area of New York.
