(SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released the following information.

PRODUCT
Shur-Fine brand Apple Cider sold in half gallon and one gallon plastic bottles and labeled as distributed by Western Family Foods, Inc., Portland, OR. Recall # F-372-2.

CODE
All lots on the market at the time the recall was initiated.

RECALLING FIRM/MANUFACTURER
Mayer Brothers Apple Products, Inc., West Seneca, NY, by letter dated November 5, 2001. State initiated recall is complete.

REASON
The product contained undeclared potassium sorbate

VOLUME OF PRODUCT IN COMMERCE
Approximately 10,000 cases.
