Hana Brand Agar-agar (Kanten -Red-) is an unflavored dry powder gelatin for food use, imported from Japan, packaged in 0.5 ounce clear plastic packages, 50 packages per case. Recall # F-289-2.

and fax on Dec. 3, 2001.
Manufacturer: New Japan Food Group Chuo-ku, Japan.
State initiated recall is ongoing.

The product contained Ponceau 4R, an unapproved color additive.
