Dinstuhl's Candies Recalls Assorted Chocolate Covered Nuts, and Peanut Butter Bars

Memphis, TN  (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said that Dinstuhl's Candies is recalling 300 boxes of Assorted Chocolates and Assorted Chocolate Covered Nuts, because they may contain undeclared milk. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

This is the first public notice of this Class I recall issued by the FDA.

Assorted Chocolates, and Assorted Chocolate Covered Nuts was distributed in Dinstuhl's Candy Stores in the Memphis area and informed customers by a sign placed in each store.

These boxes can be identified as a gold box labeled "Gold Select" and "Gold Select" with an attached label of "Assorted Nuts".

There have been no reported cases of illness connected to the sale of either of these items.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that products containing milk were distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of milk.
