Foxtail Foods Recalls Frozen Orange Muffin Batter

Cincinnati, OH (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said that Foxtail Foods is recalling Frozen Orange Muffin Batter, with natural orange flavor,
packaged under the Hilltop label (product #319201) and the Foxtail label (product #302201). The products were packed in 16 LB plastic pails.

This is the first public notice of this Class I recall issued by the FDA.

RECALL NUMBER, PRODUCT AND CODE:
F-563-1, Frozen Orange Muffin Batter, with natural orange flavor, packaged under the Hilltop label (product #319201) and the Foxtail label (product #302201). The products were packed in 16 LB plastic pails,

All codes.

REASON:
The product contains undeclared FD&C Yellow No. 6.

MANUFACTURER/RECALLING FIRM:

RECALLED BY:
The firm, recalled the Foxtail brand product by telephone on 7/24/01 and by e-mail on 7/25/01 and the Hilltop brand by letter on 7/27/01.

FIRM INITIATED RECALL:
Complete.

DISTRIBUTION:
IL, PA, TN, SC, MO, NY, GA, and WI.

QUANTITY:
113 containers of Foxtail brand and 160 containers of Hilltop brand.
