Royal American Foods Recalls Gourmet Flan

MN.  (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said today that Royal American Foods is recalling Dianne's Gourmet Desserts Mountain Berry Cream Flan, Net weight 56 oz, (per case of 4 flans).

This is the first public notice of this Class I recall issued by the FDA.

RECALL NUMBER, PRODUCT AND CODE:
F-522-1, Dianne's Gourmet Desserts Mountain Berry Cream Flan, Net weight 56 oz, (per case of 4 flans).

CODE:
08801.

REASON:
The product was contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

RECALLED BY:
Manufacturer, by telephone on April 2, 2001, and letter on April 11, 2001.
