Strong America Limited Recalls STR brand "Uncovered Huasheng".

Brooklyn, NY (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said today that Strong America Limited is recalling STR brand "Uncovered Huasheng" packed in flexible plastic packages.

This is the first public notice of this Class I recall issued by the FDA.

RECALL NUMBER, PRODUCT AND CODE:
F-506-1, STR brand "Uncovered Huasheng" packed in flexible plastic packages, barcode # 643806 884018 and no other coding.

REASON:
The product contained undeclared peanuts.

MANUFACTURER:
Strong America Limited Brooklyn, NY (repacker).

RECALLED BY:
Manufacturer, letter to its retail customers on 5/19/00.

FIRM INITIATED RECALL:
Completed. Recall resulted from inspection and analysis by New York State Dept. of Agriculture & Markets.

DISTRIBUTION:
NY (15), CT (1), MA (2), PA (2) and IL (1).

QUANTITY:
48 cases.
