Allergy Alert: Small Quantity of Fudge Recalled in Syracuse

Syracuse, NY (SafetyAlerts) - Speach Candy Company is recalling plain chocolate fudge and chocolate coconut fudge because it may contain small traces of undeclared peanuts. People who have allergies to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

The fudge was sold at the company's retail store located at 2400 Lodi Street. The product was sold between April 9, 2001 and June 13, 2001 - sold in bulk from the product display.

No illnesses had been reported according to a statement by the company.

Consumers who have purchased chocolate or chocolate coconut fudge are urged to return the product for a full refund. Consumers with questions can contact the store at 215-478-3100.
