June 21, 2001Pathrop Brand Preserves Recalled
NY (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and
Drug Administration (FDA) said today that B&B International Connections has recalled
certain Pathrop brand preserves because the products were labeled as sugar free when they
contained sugars. Additionally the Cranberry and Mountain cranberry flavors contained
undeclared sodium benzoate.
This is the first public notice of
this Class III
recall issued by FDA.
Pathrop brand preserves:
a) Raspberry Sugar Free preserve in glass jars.
Recall # F-403-1.
b) Cranberry Sugar Free Preserve in glass jars.
Recall # F-404-1.
c) Mountaine Cranberry Sugar free preserve in
