FDA First Notice: Liqui-Doss® Recalled

Ferndale, MI (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said today that Ferndale Laboratories, Inc. has recalled Liqui-Doss® because of possible yeast contamination.

This is the first public notice of this Class II recall issued by FDA.

PRODUCT
Liqui-Doss® liquid for constipation (Mineral Oil 13.5mL/15mL), 2 and 16 Fl. Oz. Bottles.

Recall #D-154-1.

CODE:
LOT NOS. 57-142, 57-144, 57-145, 57-152, 58-055, 58-057, 58-058, and 58-063.

MANUFACTURER:
Ferndale Laboratories, Inc., Ferndale, MI.

RECALLED BY:
Manufacturer, by letters on October 27, 1998 and January 1999. Firm-initiated recall *complete.

*Completed recall: FDA states 'completed recall' indicates the company has removed all affected product from store shelves,  it does not necessarily mean this particular product lot, or codes, have been fully accounted for.
