Ponceau 4R , an unapproved color additive.
This is the first public notice of
this Class II
recall issued by FDA.
Loquat Slice in flexible plastic packages, net wt. 3.5 oz. (98 g), 50 packages per case.
Ingredients: Sugar, Salt, Loquat. Product of China.
Product bears barcode 998118 823938 & no other coding.
Shan Dong Zhaoyuan Huatuan Fruit Co., Shan Dong City, China.
Strong America Ltd., Brooklyn, NY (Importer & distributor),by letter on May 10, 2000.
*Completed recall resulted from sample analysis and follow-up by the New York State Dept.
of Agriculture & Markets (NYSDAM).
