Drug Administration (FDA) said today that Designs for Health is recalling certain Thyroid
Synergy Dietary Supplements because the product contained approximately 225 times the
amount of selenium declared on label.
This is the first public notice of
this Class I
recall issued by FDA.
Thyroid Synergy Dietary Supplement, in 90-capsule bottles.
Advanced Manufacturing System, Boulder, Colorado.
Designs for Health, Boulder, Colorado, by telephone on August 7-8, 2000, followed by
letter August 10, 2000. Firm-initiated recall **complete.
**Completed recall: While the FDA has completed
processing of this particular recall, it does not mean this particular product has been
fully accounted for.
360 90-capsule bottles were distributed.
