Brand Dried Shrimp Recalled
HI (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and
Drug Administration (FDA) said today that Nishimoto Trading Company Hawaii, Ltd is
recalling certain Shirakiku, Mum's and Barre brand Dried Shrimp because the product
contains undeclared sulfites.
This is the first public notice of
this Class II
recall issued by FDA.
Dried Shrimp under the following labels:
Shirakiku brand U.S. Dried Shrimp in 1-ounce bags;
Mum's brand U.S. Dried Shrimp in 1-ounce bags;
Barre brand Dried Shrimp in Bulk 50 lb. Bags.
Nishimoto Trading Company Hawaii, Ltd., Honolulu, Hawaii.
Repacker, by letter sent on November 8, 2000. Firm-initiated recall ongoing.
2,725 packages were distributed.
