Potato Tubes Recalled
MA (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and
Drug Administration (FDA) said today that New Attitudes Food Group, LLC is recalling
certain New Attitudes brand Tomato Basil Potato Tubes. The product is mislabeled in
that the narrative on the bag states that the product does "not contain any dairy or
animal by-products" when in fact the product contains whey powder which is listed as
an ingredient on the label.
This is the first public notice of
this Class II
recall issued by FDA.
New Attitudes brand Tomato Basil Potato Tubes (snack food), in 14-ounce bags.
All product on the market at time of recall initiation.
Miss Arachew, Quebec, Canada.
New Attitudes Food Group LLC, Stoughton, Massachusetts, by letter dated October 3, 2000.
Firm-initiated recall ongoing.
104,000 bags were distributed.
