Stop & Shop Vegetarian Vegetable Soup Recalled for Undeclared Allergen

Boston, MA (SafetyAlerts) - Stop & Shop Supermarkets have issued a recall of 10.75 ounce cans of condensed Stop & Shop Vegetarian Vegetable Soup because the product may contain eggs which is not declared on the label.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product.

The soup was sold at Stop & Shop stores in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York and Rhode Island.  The recalled products bear the UPC code of 02112004970.

Stop & Shop customers with allergies to eggs who purchased the product may return it to any Stop & Shop store for a full refund.
